Getting Schengen Visa with no appointments available before the intended travel

Hello everyone,

I am an Indian citizen on F1 visa. I want to get Schengen (Italian) visa to attend a summer school. However, there are no visa appointment dates available before my intended date of travel on the consulate’s website. Is anyone aware of any other ways to get an appointment or if anything can be done in such scenarios? Any information would be much appreciated.

I ran into this kind of situation last year for my visit to Denmark. Calling the consulate/embassy helped me get an early appointment. You should give that a try. Good luck!
