I am considering applying for a driver’s license. I know how to drive and also have a DL from India, but I have never driven in the US and I don’t own a car.
I am looking for recommendations/suggestions on how to practice for the driving test. Are there local agencies that people here have had good experience with and would recommend?

I recommend you take the written test first (relatively inexpensive, depends on state). They give you some sort of permit that allows you to drive as long as there is a person with you with a valid driver’s license in the passenger seat. That’s probably the cheapest way to practice (could be free if you have a friend with a car). Then you can just take the test with the potential friend’s car.
