UChicagoGRAD Art Show + Reception
Wednesday, January 23, 4:30-5:30pm, GRAD HQUChicagoGRAD is excited to host the first GRAD art show in our space! Come check out the work of MFA alumna Adrienne Elyse Meyers, meet the artist, and mix and mingle with fellow graduate students and postdocs. Please RSVP in GRAD Gargoyle (Events > GRAD Events). Adrienne Elyse Meyers was born and raised in Texas, and currently lives and works in Chicago, where she earned an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Chicago in 2018. Her recent work focuses on paintings of images of interior and household spaces. Through painting she works to build a relationship with the image and push at its secrets. She is drawn to the afterlife of the image that persists and requests its own recreation, that lingers, then dissolves upon closer investigation. Website: www.adrienneelyse.com
